Eating lunch together is a really important part of the school day. It is a key time to encourage independence and develop social skills, as well as to ensure everyone has a good meal.
School Meals
School meals are cooked on each of our sites. Our provider is Harrisons. Lunch menus are popular with a range of well-balanced and healthy options and are changed regularly. All meals are required to comply with the School Food Standards, which are intended to ensure that children get the nutrition they need across the whole school day. Our menu is available to download here.
Universal Free School Meals from September 2023
The Mayor of London announced that all primary school children in the capital will receive free school meals from September 2023 to help with the cost-of-living crisis. In April 2024, he confirmed that this programme would continue for the 2024-2025 academic year. All children from Reception to Year 6 will be offered a school meal this academic year, free of charge to parents and carers.
Packed Lunches
If you prefer, your child may have a packed lunch. We ask that you ensure packed lunches are healthy and well balanced, as we do encourage healthy eating at school. Try these healthy packed lunch ideas.
Please note the following points about packed lunches:
- No nuts. The school is a nut free school so please check carefully and avoid nut products in lunch boxes. Some of our children have severe nut allergies.
- No sweets, chocolates or fizzy drinks
- No glass bottles or breakable containers
