Leading initial teacher training, including School Direct

Running a number of successful programmes and courses for teachers and leaders, as part of our continuing professional development offer

Hosting visits from teachers and leaders from other schools, and organising visits elsewhere to learn from excellent and innovative practice, nationally and internationally

Providing subject-based support in a range of areas including English, Modern Foreign Languages and PE

Providing school-to-school support for schools in all circumstances (we are a National Support School and our headteacher John Grove is an experienced National Leader of Education)

Leading the Challenge the Gap programme, which focuses on raising the attainment and achievement of children entitled to free school meals

Coaching and mentoring for senior leaders and heads

Facilitating our Deputy Development Group, for self-motivated deputy headteachers looking to develop their experience and skills

Support for new and experienced headteachers

Teacher and leader internships, where staff undertake intensive, focused placements in other schools, in order to experience different contexts and/or leadership styles

Facilitating Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for headteachers, leaders and teachers who want to work together on a common issue/theme - for example teachers working together to raise standards in writing

Learning from research and practice in order to improve the quality of teaching and leadership in our schools and alliance.
