London School Games 2016
Belleville was once again proud to be one of the schools representing Wandsworth at the London School Games final at Crystal Palace on 30th June 2016, competing against teams from 32 London boroughs. Belleville's Year 5&6 gymnastics squad won the team competition, retaining their crown as London champions. Our Year 3&4 gymnastics team also did fantastically well, finishing in 5th place. London Youth Games: Tennis
On June 16th 2016 Belleville entered two teams into the Wandsworth section of The London Youth Games, held at The National Tennis Centre and they won both the A and B event. A fantastic achievement! Tabitha Hollywood (As), Josie Burrows (As), Anja Mackenzie (Bs), Mia Sherrell (Bs), Jasmeen Bal (travelling reserve), Archie Lyon (As), Henry Prior (As), Johnathon Brunet (Bs), Jack Holt-Woollard (Bs), William Walsh (travelling reserve) all represented Belleville fantastically supporting each other through all of their matches and showing great sportsmanship through out. Wandsworth is one of the strongest Tennis boroughs in London and en route to the title both teams battled strong competition showing brilliant character in doing so. In addition to winning both competitions the team also met the Davis Cup Captain Leon Smith. Belleville went on to represent the Borough of Wandsworth at Crystal Palace on June 30th.
