A HUGELY SUCCESSFUL SUMMER FAIR - THANK YOU!
A big thank you everyone for making this year's Dream Big Summer Fair a huge success.
We are delighted to announce that the fair took over £15k generating a
profit of £14.7k for the PTA!
We're very grateful for all the parents/carers who took part, organising and supporting the event. It was wonderful to see the whole Belleville community coming together. This event would not have been possible without your help. Special mentions are needed to the talented chefs who spoilt us with their delicious fayres, the bar staff who worked relentlessly to keep us all hydrated in the intense heat. We loved this year's new stand additions: water pistols, treasure hunt and slime. And of course congratulations to this year's Belleville's Got Talent winner Adam Podjarni in 3K who displayed beautiful skills on the piano.
We would like to thank all key sponsors: Chestertons, Hamptons, Courtenay, PEAK and Oddono's for their support.
The funds raised will be put to great use in the coming school year. They will go towards the purchase of new reading books for all year groups, funding the running club as well as the instrumental music scheme. BELLEVILLE SUMMER FAIR - THIS SATURDAY!
The biggest event of the year is finally here!
Get ready for an afternoon of fun this Saturday. With over 30 stands of activities and delicious food to tickle your taste buds, the summer fair will have something to delight the whole family.

Plus exciting entertainment on stage with performances by the Belleville Choir and Orchestra before the much anticipated Belleville's Got Talent final, sponsored by PEAK.

BELLEVILLE'S GOT TALENT - LUNCHTIME AUDITONS START TODAY
Calling all talented Belleville children to come audition for a place in the Belleville's Got Talent final which will take place during the summer fair on Saturday 30th June.
All children from year 1 to year 6 are invited to audition in front of a panel of 3 judges. (Apologies to any reception children wishing to audition, they are welcome next year).
Children must come to the music room on their allocated day and register at the desk.
If too many contestants want to audition on any each day, children will be notified to come back for a spill-over session.
Year 1: Tuesday 12th June 1 - 1:20pm
Year 2: Monday 11th 1 - 1:30pm
Year 3: Monday 11th 12:30 - 1pm
Year 4: Tuesday 12th 12:30 - 1pm
Year 5: Wednesday 13th 12:30 - 1pm
Year 6: Thursday 14th 12:30 - 1pm
Years 1, 2, 3: Monday 11th June 12:30 - 1:30pm
Years 4, 5, 6: Wednesday 13th June 12:30 - 1:30pm
- Auditions take place at lunch time and children must ensure they have enough time for lunch.
- All acts have to be a maximum of 2mins long. The acts may be cut short if there are too many acts to judge. The children must make an impression in the first 30secs. Rehearsing ahead is a must!
- Maximum 6 children per act
- Acts requiring music should bring their track on a memory stick/CD or know their track name and artist for it to be played from YouTube.
- If musical instruments or any other school equipment is needed, please request this in advance.
Results: The finalists will be announced during assembly on Friday 15th June.
All finalist must be available to perform at the summer fair on Saturday 30th June.

SUMMER FAIR RAFFLE - PRIZES AND SPONSOR NEEDED
The Belleville summer fair, the biggest event of the PTA calendar is coming soon: Saturday 30th June from 12 - 3pm at Webb's Rd
We need your help collecting prizes for the biggest fundraiser of the fair, the RAFFLE and the very popular Kids and Adult Tombolas.
Each year, we have an amazing list of prizes, mainly sourced by the wonderful parents of the school. As in previous years, we ask the whole school community to contribute and each class to source two prizes:
- Prizes with a value of over £50 will go to the raffle
- Prizes with a value of under £50 will go to the tombola
If you have any good contacts with local businesses please ask them to support our school. Alternatively please call on work or family contacts to see if they can provide a prize. The more impressive the prizes, the more tickets we will sell. The top 7 prizes, generally with a value of over £150, will feature on the raffle tickets.

We are also looking for a sponsor to provide the top raffle prize with a value of over £250 and to cover the cost of the ticket printing (around £70).The sponsor will be the only company to have their logo on all 8,000 tickets distributed through the 947 book bags and on all communication to parents about the raffle.

FUN RUN 2018 - WINNERS
Thank you to everyone who came and took part in another very successful Fun Run this weekend! It was a great event for all the family, with a total of 499 runners taking part. We raised a massive £2,350.07 for the PTA. Thank you to our sponsors Banca IMI and to Oddonos who so generously donated yummy ice cream for the PTA to sell. CHESTERTONS SUMMER FAIR BOARDS - 120 ADDRESSES NEEDED!
Chestertons estate agents have kindly agreed to continue sponsoring the Belleville summer fair. They will advertise the fair with their boards around the neighbourhood during the month of June and need 120 homeowners to volunteer their homes. For each branded board, the PTA will receive £25, so this initiative could raise as much as £3,000!
The boards will be removed shortly after the fair on the 30th June. Tenants, please ask for your landlord's authorisation.
Volunteers should provide their full address to their class reps by Wednesday 16th May.

GET WIGGY WITH IT! PARENTS DISCO TICKETS - TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE
The date is fast approaching for the Belleville Parents party of the year! FRIDAY 11th MAY @ 7:30-11pm.
You only have a few more days to buy tickets and join us for a fun filled evening of food, drinks and music. The weather is forecast to be warm and sunny so we can also look forward to hanging out in the lovely Meteor gardens.
As with all PTA events, the money raised from this party helps to fund the improvement of the equipment and facilities of our school and get more specialist teachers for our classes. It’s events like this where we can come together as a community and have some fun while supporting a cause that is important to us all. Plus, it’s a great excuse to try on some crazy hair (optional), have some drinks, get to know other parents from other classes and possibly even show your moves on the dance floor...So come on and Let’s Get Wiggy with It!
The venue is filling up and we need to have final numbers by Monday 7th May. Please feel free to buy tickets for any non-Belleville friends you wish to invite as well. You can still purchase tickets via Wisepay, by contacting your PTA class reps, or by emailing email@example.com

SUMMER FAIR POSTER COMPETITION - WINNER & FINALISTS!
Thank you to all the children who entered the Summer Fair Poster Competition with their creative interpretations of this year's theme - Dream Big for a Better World.

FUN RUN - SPACES STILL AVAILABLE
The Fun Run is filling up but we still have spaces, at the moment, in all the races!
Please leave your completed registration form in the PTA box, with the correct change, or with a fun run collector, at either school site. Please note that only siblings in year 7 and above are allowed to race. They will run in the parents race.
Pre registration will shut this Friday 4th May at 3.30 pm. You will still be able to register on the day as long as there are spaces in the race.

Registration will start tomorrow at drop off and pick up and will continue until this Friday at pick up. £3 per entry. (£5 on the day)

EASTER BAKE THIS THURSDAY AT 2:30PM
Don't miss this Easter Eggstravaganza after school this Thursday 29th March from 2:30pm in the playground.
Get ready for the biggest cake sale of the year, the colourful Easter Bonnet parade and fun activities like the Easter trivia and the popular Guess the number of sweets in the jar.

We need your cakes and treats!
Don your aprons and start baking. Bring homemade or shop bought cakes to the playground in the morning or to the cake stand at 2:30pm. The more you bake, the more we sell! No nuts please.
Get creative with your bonnets!
The three most original, eye-catching creations to impress the judges will win a prize. Winners will be decided after the bonnet parade around the playground. Parade to start at around 2:40pm.
BELLEVILLE'S GOT TALENT SHOW UNDER THREAT!
Since last year, we have been looking for a new organising committee to manage this year's Belleville's Got Talent competition.
This is your children's most eagerly anticipated event of the year. Some children are so keen, they start planning and rehearsing their acts at the start of the school year. Each year we are inundated with over 150 acts, from year 1 to year 6, that audition for a chance to perform at the Belleville's Got Talent final during the summer fair.
We need new volunteers to organise and run the 2018 event. This includes setting up the weekday lunchtime auditions, recruiting judges, announcing finalists, preparing and running the show at the summer fair.

If no organisers can be found after the Easter holidays, we will regrettably have to cancel the event which will come as a huge disappointment to all the cihilden.

SAVE THE DATE! BELLEVILLE FUN RUN
The 2018 Belleville Fun Run for kids and parents will be held on Sunday 13th May on Wandsworth Common, 9:30-11:30. The races will be grouped (Nursery/Reception, Year 1-2, Year 3-4, Year 5-6 and parents) due to time constraints, but the children from each year group will be asked to wear a different colour t-shirt so that we can identify them at the finishing line. The race will charge a small entry fee with all the proceeds going to the Belleville PTA.

FILM NIGHTS ARE BACK ON!
We apologise for the last minute cancellation of the KS1 session on Friday 2nd March. The projector has now been fixed and we can go ahead with the screening of ‘Despicable Me 3’
on Friday 9th March for KS1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2)
on Friday 16th March for KS2 (Years 3-6)
Children are encouraged to bring sleeping bags, pillows and anything else to make themselves comfortable. Popcorn and juice will be provided.

NEW! WISEPAY TICKET BOOKINGS
We are trialing for the first time to sell Film Night ticket through Wisepay.
To book, just log-on to your child's Wisepay account via the Belleville website. You will find the tickets under 'Trips & Events'. We hope this makes buying event tickets more straightforward. No more queuing in the cold playground to secure a ticket and parents who can’t make the drop offs don’t miss out. Please bear with us during the early stages. Going forward, we hope to be able to sell more event tickets via Wisepay.
SPONSORSHIP PARTNERS NEEDED
Sponsor support is crucial to keep the PTA calendar filled with a variety of events for the whole school community. Without the support of a sponsor, many of the smaller PTA events would not cover their costs and would have to be stopped.
If you are a local business, or if you think your employer would be willing to sponsor some of our school events, we would find a suitable event for your brand and investment. It would be ideal way to raise awareness of your brand within the whole Belleville School community.
Each sponsor’s logo features on the event posters, tickets, on the newsletter, on the PTA website and all other communication sent out to parents/carers. Sponsors can also include a branded banner at the entrance on the day of the event.

FUNDRAISING FOR THE PTA THROUGH FUND MATCHING
Belleville parents may not be aware that many companies offer employees a chance to boost their fundraising efforts by matching the money they raise when volunteering their time for the PTA.
It is free money waiting to be collected but not many people are aware of it. Some organisations will match £ for £, others will have set ceilings.
Any parent who volunteers a certain number of hours organising an event, running an activity or a running a stand could be eligible to submit a request. Recently, a parent who helped organise the Quiz Night managed to secure £500 for the PTA.
To check if your employer operates or is interested in running a matched giving scheme, contact your company community relations/CSR manager or HR department who will be able to give you instructions on how to start your application.
DISCO FEVER TAKES OVER WEBB'S ROAD
On Friday 2nd February, the top hall at Webb’s Road was transformed into the hottest disco venue in SW11.
The music was pumping, the technicolour lights were sweeping across the hall and the dance master was leading the children to bust some very funky moves. With sweets and glowsticks, the children had the time of their lives. Almost 250 KS2 children came to dance their socks off. The event raised just over £800 for the PTA.
A big thank you to Amy Wickham, Ruby Mukerji and Leah Samuel who helped organise the event and coordinate all the helpers. Thank you to all the volunteers and chaperones on the day. And as ever another huge thank you to Baki for facilitating another highly enjoyable event for the children.
We would also like to thank our sponsor Oddono’s who provided 250 ice cream pots for the children to enjoy after the disco.
NEW ADULT FIRST AID COURSES WITH FIRST AID FOR LIFE
Every few years, the PTA organises first aid courses for parents/carers/teachers with First Aid for Life.
These 3hr courses normally retail at £68, but thanks to the PTA, parents can have access to them at a great discount and only pay £20.
