BELLEVILLE CLUBS
Meet The PE Team
Hi, I’m the PE leader here at Belleville, my name is Miss Angus.
We teach a wide range of PE activities as part of the usual school day. As well as lessons, I try to provide a variety of clubs so that there is something on offer that will fire the imagination of each and every one of you at Belleville. I am helped by my team of coaches and teachers with a special interest in sport.
I aim to make physical activity exciting so that you can develop an enthusiasm for sport and exercise.
I hope to encourage each and every one of you to enjoy being physically active so that as you grow into adults you have the knowledge and desire to be able to make the correct choices to be fit and healthy.
My interest in sports has developed from the exhilaration I personally get from physical exertion and being fit. I enjoy endurance events and have completed both the London Marathon and the London to Brighton Bike Ride. I also like to watch sport and am an avid supporter of my home football team – Portsmouth, there is only one team on the South Coast!!
Hi, my name is Mr Speller and I grew up in South Africa.
My favourite sport is cricket, which I have played all my life! Many of you have already met me during your PE lessons but I will also be on the playground before and after school teaching cricket to everyone who has joined our cricket clubs. I have coached school children for 8 years and I still play premier league cricket today! You could watch me in action at the Banstead Cricket Club during the summer season. I cannot wait to share my knowledge with you and explore the game that has shaped who I am because, what is life but a game of cricket!
Hello Belleville!I am Mr Morris, a Year 5 teacher and Tag Rugby coach. Tag Rugby is a safe, fun and exciting form of non-contact rugby suitable for both boys and girls of all age groups and abilities. There are no scrums, line-outs or tackling allowed in Tag Rugby so the game can be enjoyed by both beginners and experienced players alike. A few skills you will develop are: hand eye co-ordination, agility, fitness and learning to work as a team.
Still asking "why should I play Tag rugby?" I say...WHY NOT?
