Belleville at Hillbrook 15th October

BELLEVILLE 6   VS.    FIRCROFT 4 [CAGE MATCH]

The team eagerly awaited the match following the routing at last week’s matches. The game started off going Belleville’s way as two early goals were scored but Fircroft quickly made it two apiece. Belleville followed up with 3 more goals to the good. An incident occurred involving the Fircroft coach, who was also the referee, who accidentally tripped up one Belleville striker, Benjamin. But that didn’t stop us.

More drama when a disputed decision for a free kick meant that the Fircroft captain managed to score. The referee ‘did not even give the team time to make a wall’. But appeals were overruled by the Fircroft referee. The moans were soon silenced for good by yet anotherBelleville goal.

Fircroft squeezed in another to make the final score six - four to Belleville. The game ended with a roar from the spectators and the weary, happy players trudged off the pitch.
