How We Behave

We are proud of our high standards of behaviour. Children work and behave in a calm way, which is essential for maximising their learning and for children to feel happy at school. Our behaviour policy is based on mutual respect with an emphasis on praising and valuing good behaviour. We have members of staff whose role it is to ensure that any behavioural incidents are dealt with quickly and effectively. Children are given time to discuss and resolve any problems that may have arisen.

Merit Awards
Reward systems based on praise are used in all classes to encourage good work and behaviour. We present children with certificates to reward them for excellent work, effort or behaviour on a weekly basis.   The headteacher also awards badges to children nominated for exceptional achievement in the following areas: Sport, Community, Arts, Academic and Endeavour.
